Know where things stand.
“Find this customer’s open quotes and recent orders.”
Connect customer records and sales information so your team can find the context they need.
03 / Custom MCP server development · South Africa
Bring ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Grok into the way your business works. We build custom MCP servers that connect supported AI apps and tools to your software, data and workflows, with agreed access and permissions.
Based in Hermanus, Overberg. Working with clients across South Africa.
Start with a useful task
Customer records, operations, reporting or everyday admin. We start with the systems you use and a task worth making easier.
“Find this customer’s open quotes and recent orders.”
Connect customer records and sales information so your team can find the context they need.
“Which products are running low, and which orders are waiting?”
Bring information from stock, order and operational systems into a useful conversation.
“Summarise this month’s sales and outstanding invoices.”
Help people explore agreed business information without repeatedly copying it between tools.
“Find our returns procedure and summarise this project’s status.”
Connect internal knowledge and project information to the people who need it.
Examples of possible workflows. Each integration is assessed around your systems and permitted access. Agreed actions, such as creating a follow-up task or updating a record after approval, can also be explored.
The idea behind the connection
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It gives compatible AI applications a standard way to discover and use tools and information from other systems.
Your MCP server is the connection we build around your software. It can expose specific tasks, such as finding an order or creating an approved follow-up, while your system remains responsible for its records and business rules.
Tell us what you want to connectWe also check whether an existing connector already meets the need.
Work with the AI tools you choose
All four have MCP support in their ecosystems. We select and test the connection that fits your account, location and workflow.
Custom MCP connections can expose information and agreed actions in ChatGPT, subject to workspace permissions and security settings.
OpenAI’s connection guide (opens in a new tab)MCP connections through Gemini APIs and supported developer or business tools. Custom connections in the consumer chat app have regional and account limits.
Google’s integration guide (opens in a new tab)Custom connectors let Claude work with remote MCP servers. Organisation permissions and each user’s access determine what is available.
Claude’s connector guide (opens in a new tab)Custom MCP connectors can bring tools and data into Grok conversations. API-based workflows are also available, with team permissions where applicable.
Grok’s connector guide (opens in a new tab)For South African clients, we assess Gemini through an API-based integration or an available business tool. Google currently limits consumer Gemini custom apps to eligible personal accounts in the US. Check Google’s current availability (opens in a new tab).
Access with a purpose
We agree what information the connection may read, which actions it may perform, and who is allowed to use it.
A first version can start with read-only tools. When changes are useful, we design the approval steps and checks around the action and the platform using it.
Authentication, access limits, request validation and appropriate activity logging belong in the scope. We test permitted tasks and requests that should be refused, then agree how the connection will be operated and maintained.
From the task to the connection
Discovery, server development, connection setup, testing, documentation and handover are planned together. Hosting, monitoring, maintenance, AI subscriptions and API usage are discussed separately.
Your business, your idea, your people. We start by understanding what matters.
Together, we agree on the first scope, the way we work, and the right pricing approach.
See the work take shape, share feedback, and make decisions along the way.
Get it into people’s hands. Learn from what happens and agree on the next step.
Before we connect
Tell us which systems you use, which AI tool you prefer, and the first task you want it to help with.
Yes, through supported MCP connections in their apps, APIs or tools. We check your account, region, workspace permissions and the capabilities you need before agreeing on an approach. Each platform has its own connection and authentication requirements.
Gemini supports MCP through its API and supported developer and business tools. Google currently limits custom connected apps in the consumer Gemini app to eligible personal accounts in the US. For South African clients, we assess an API-based integration or an available business-tool connection. Availability is checked when we scope the project.
We start by looking at your system and the task you want AI to help with. An API, supported database connection or another permitted way to access the system is needed. Custom software, customer systems, stock and order systems, and internal knowledge sources are all possible starting points.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. An MCP server exposes defined tools and information that a compatible AI application can use. We build the connection to your systems and agree exactly what those tools may read or change.
Where the platform and your system support it, yes. We agree which actions are permitted, who may use them, and where confirmation is required. A first version can start with read-only access, then add approved actions when they are useful.
An existing connector may already cover what you need. We check that first. Custom development is useful when your software, information or workflow needs capabilities that an existing connection does not provide.
We agree on discovery, the first workflow, development and connection setup before starting. Hosting, AI subscriptions or API usage, monitoring, maintenance and support are separate items in the proposal. Fixed fees, hourly work and suitable value-sharing arrangements can be discussed.
